Terms of Service — Open Look

1. What Open Look is

Open Look is a subscription service for basketball officials, providing (a) Film Room, positioning and mechanics feedback on game situations you describe, drafted by an AI system and reviewed and finalized by a human evaluator before it reaches you; (b) The Clinic, an AI-guided study tool for officiating rules and mechanics concepts; and (c) Schedule Command Center, a personal scheduling and conflict-flag tool for your own game assignments.

2. Not an evaluator, assigner, or governing body

Open Look is an independent training and feedback tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for any athletic association, conference, assigning body, or state officiating organization. Feedback provided through Film Room and The Clinic reflects the opinion of the reviewing evaluator and is not a certification, rating, or guarantee of advancement, assignment, or performance evaluation recognized by any governing body.

3. AI-assisted feedback

Film Room and The Clinic use an AI system to generate an initial draft. For Film Room, that draft is always reviewed and edited by a human evaluator before it is released to you — you will never receive unreviewed AI output as your final feedback. The Clinic's tutoring responses are AI-generated in real time and are not individually reviewed before you see them. Both are intended as training aids; use your own judgment, your assigning body's rules, and your mechanics manual as the final authority.

4. Your account and content

You're responsible for the accuracy of what you submit (game descriptions, schedule entries) and for keeping your login credentials secure. You retain ownership of the content you submit; you grant Open Look a license to process it (including sending it to third-party AI providers, see our Privacy Policy) solely to provide the service to you.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page in your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. Fees already charged for a billing period are non-refundable, including for partial-period cancellations, except where required by law. Plan features and pricing (including monthly film-review limits) may change with notice posted on the Pricing page.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Open Look to harass or misrepresent another official, to submit content you don't have the right to share, or to attempt to access another subscriber's account or submissions. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Open Look is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that feedback, scheduling conflict detection, or tutoring content is error-free or complete — schedule conflict detection in particular relies on estimated drive times you provide, not live traffic data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Open Look and its owner are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions you make based on feedback or scheduling information it provides.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
